Mina Mileva and Vesela Kazakova, and their company activist38, are well known in the European film industry for the social and political focus in their work. They have directed and produced subversive documentaries, and thus suffered institutional harassment in Bulgaria.
We wanted to create a bridge between the East and the West to check if the grass was greener on the other side.
